The Origin of the Name Mare Nature Alchemy

The Origin of the Name Mare Nature Alchemy

The plant remedies of Mare Nature Alchemy originally started under the name Dominique Mare , a reference to the original birth name of founder Claudette vd Rakt, during her birth on Ascension Day. Dominique, derived from Dominicus means "belonging to the Lord" and carries an energy of service, wisdom, and attention to higher things. This name symbolized listening to what nature, trees, and plants have to say.

When it was decided to drop the name Dominique, Mare over as core, combined with Nature and Alchemy . The word Mare is a tribute to the founder's parents, a combination of Maria and René . At the same time Mare calls out the Latin word for sea on – a flowing, endless force – and in astronomical terms, it refers to the vast, dark plains of the moon, mysterious landscapes formed by impacts and lava flows. The moon frequently appears in Claudette van de Rakt's art as a guide and source of inspiration, a metaphor for rhythm, cycles, and connection to the greater whole.

Nature  represents the plants, trees and herbs that provide inspiration and guidance in the work of Mare Nature Alchemy. Alchemy refers to the process of transformation: converting natural forces into healing tinctures, oils and creations that touch body, heart and soul.

Together forms Mare Nature Alchemy a name that reflects personal origins, the wisdom of nature and the magical process of transformation – a story of birth, connection, cycles and discovery.

Mare Nature Alchemy's products and creations are designed to empower people to support their personal process, give strength and make life more beautiful , inspired by the natural energy and wisdom of the world around us.
